English A great place to strip off on the Essex coast. The nude beach is not actually Hutleys but is some way past it. Walk west along the sea wall until you arrive at metal steps onto the beach. The naturist area starts after a few hundred yards. There are no signs saying it is naturist. The beach shelves gently and is made up of sand, pebbles, mud and rocks - not great for sitting on with no cushion. To the rear of the beech is an area of marshes and very low sand dunes with long grass and other small bushes. Everyone seems to “camp out” in this area. It’s not crowded and numbers thin out the further you go. There is a decayed wooden structure some way along with a patch that leads to a grassy area behind the beach. There are signs and fences to protect beach nesting birds. This seems to be the centre of the gay area. Overall it’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors with views across the Blackwater to Bradwell. There is free parking at Hutleys as well as a cafe, pubs sops and Sunday market so you can make day out of it.

English An official naturist beach, owned by Hutley's caravan site at St Osyth beach, about two miles from St Osyth village, near Clacton, Essex, UK. Park at the caravan site at the end of Beach Road, there are three car parking options, some free. It gets busy Sunday mornings as there is a market there. I believe there is also a bus from Clacton, which also has a train service, but getting there by public transport is quite difficult! From the car park, walk about 10-15 mins west along the beach (Point Clear direction). The naturist beach has no obvious starting point (after the first small dune seems to be the start these days), but ends at the fence with the nature reserve. Do not go into the nature reserve (clothed or unclothed)! Don't worry about the stones/concrete on the beach at first near the car park, the naturist part has sand, stones and some low grassy dunes. Mainly males, some women and couples.
